After three intense and extremely satisfying years spent working together, Giacometti Old Master Paintings warmly thanks Miriam Di Penta for her invaluable contribution. We wish her all the best for her forthcoming independent venture in the beautiful studio in via di Monserrato.

Henceforth GOMP shall belong entirely to the Giacometti family. Umberto Giacometti and Paola Decker, together with Laura Auciello, are preparing for the gallery’s American debut in October with an exhibition at the exclusive TEFAF fair in New York.

TEFAF Maastricht 2018

For the 31st edition of TEFAF Maastricht, which will take place this year from the 8th to the 18th of March, Giacometti Old Master Paintings exhibits in a new, bigger and more central stand in the sector of pictura. You will find new findings and important rediscoveries, among which a moving martyr by Bernardo Cavallino (fig. 1), a large caravaggesque still life with figure by Antiveduto Gramatica (fig. 2) and a pendant by Filippo Falciatore (fig. 3) depicting in a specially rich and elegant manner, the epilogue of the tale of Aeneas and Dido told by Virgil.

This year’s selection will also include: Pieter Boel, Antonio Campi, Valerio Castello, Michelangelo Cerquozzi, Cavalier d’Arpino, Pierre-Athanase Chauvin, Antonio De Bellis, Aniello Falcone, Girolamo Forabosco, Johannes Lingelbach, Antonio Mancini, Maestro dell’Annuncio ai pastori, Micco Spadaro, Francesco Paolo Michetti, Jan Miel, Paolo Porpora, Giuseppe Recco, Rubens Santoro, Francesco Solimena, Alessandro Turchi.
